The Wall Street Crash of 1929, also known as Black Tuesday (October 29), the Great Crash, or the Stock Market Crash of 1929, began on October 24, 1929 (“Black Thursday”), and was the most devastating stock market crash in the history of the United States, when taking into consideration the full extent and duration of its after effects. The crash, which followed the London Stock Exchange’s crash of September, signaled the beginning of the 12-year Great Depression that affected all Western industrialized countries.
We were approached by director Alper from Time Looper to create a VR film to portrait the New York “Black Thursday” stock market crash as part of 9 other VR films. This was the longest film with many objects in the scene and 4000 frames of 4k render. We used Autodesk Maya to create the assets and the environment. We scanned 15 different human models with different outfits to feel the office, street, and stock exchange.  We used Redshift renderer and used The Foundry Nuke for compositing.
The final film is going to be showcased in VR for a mobile app.
